Jesus was accused of being “a glutton and a drunkard, and a friend of the worst sort of sinners.” Well, that is partly true and partly false.

He certainly wasn’t a glutton and drunkard, but He is definitely a friend of sinners. This episode explores that we needn’t be afraid of God because He just wants to be our friend.

And that is the plain and simple gospel truth about God. Not Someone to be afraid of, Jesus with His outstretched arms on the cross is hammering home the truth that: God is Someone to be friend of. “Greater love has no one that this, that he lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13)

God is desiring a special kind of relationship with you – a friendship relationship.
