What internet connection speed do I need?

For an HD Stream we recommend a 5Mbps connection, or to watch as an SD Stream we recommend 3Mbps. (Test your home connection speed here)

How much data will it use?

If you watch 4 hrs of viewing per day, we estimate you will use the following data:

• If watching in HD quality:
  3.3GB/day or 23.1GB/week or 99GB/month
• If watching in SD quality:
  1.6GB/day or 11.2GB/week or 48GB/month

Data usage may vary depending on type of content streamed and your viewing habits. Streaming through the FaithStream TV device uses internet data and like anything which uses internet data, may incur additional data costs depending on your internet plan.

HopeChannel Satellite Decommissioned

As of March 31, 2023, the Optus D2 satellite used for many years was decommissioned, meaning HopeChannel and other Christian broadcasters will no longer be available on that satellite service. FaithStream is a great new alternative!
